They remind you of who you are at your core, before life piled expectations onto your shoulders. They inspire you to look beyond limits, to embrace possibility, to simply go. For me, that person is Francesca Tse—our favorite Aquarius, a radiant light, and an unstoppable creative force.

I never told her this before, but Francesca, this post is my way of saying it loud and clear: thank you. Thank you for being unapologetically you. For your boundless curiosity, for your fearless approach to life, for your unwavering belief that everything is figureoutable. Your love of adventure, creativity, and self-expression has been a reminder, time and time again, that life is limitless—if only we allow it to be.

A Story of Serendipity and Inspiration

We met in 2017, back when we were just two legislative interns at the New York State Assembly. Her office was right next to mine, and nearly every day, we’d find ourselves chatting, swapping stories, and navigating the world of politics as fresh-faced young professionals.

The first time Francesca truly inspired me was at the very end of our internship. While most of us were carefully planning our next steps, she did something that I’ll never forget: she bought the cheapest roundtrip ticket to Thailand at the last minute, just because. No overthinking. No hesitation. Just a quiet confidence that she’d figure it out.

And she did.

Not only did she embark on that spontaneous adventure, but days after returning, she packed up her life and moved to Atlanta for a coveted summer internship at GE—an entirely new world, one that involved power grids, an area she had never worked in before. But again, with her abundance mindset and unshakable confidence, she dove in, trusting that she’d figure it out. And of course, she did.

That’s who Francesca is. A positive pioneer with limitless potential. She doesn’t wait for the perfect moment—she creates it. She doesn’t fear the unknown—she welcomes it with open arms.

As the years passed, I watched her evolve from Wall Street to learning to code, to carving out her place in the tech world—all while never sacrificing her creativity. She refused to let her professional identity consume her artistic spirit. She always found ways to create, to explore, to express.

And maybe that’s the part that has stayed with me the most.

Too often, as we grow older, we let the weight of the world strip away the parts of us that once felt so natural—the curiosity, the desire to try new things just because, the belief that we can do anything. But Francesca never let that happen. She reminds us all that life isn’t meant to be confined by societal expectations. It’s meant to be lived.

Her book, Becoming Me, is a testament to that journey—a deeply personal reflection on self-discovery, gratitude, and growth. It’s a book that encourages us to lean into who we are, to honor our experiences, and to trust the unfolding of our paths.
